Sundip was elected to South Derbyshire District Council on 15 June 2023.
He livesin Hilton with my wife and is proud to serve the people of Hilton, Church Broughton, Foston and Scropton, Sutton-on-the-Hill, and Marston-on-Dove.
In addition to his role as District Councillor for Hilton, Sundip serves as Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group and, therefore, Deputy Leader of the Opposition. He is also Deputy Chairman of the South Derbyshire Conservative Association.
Sundip works as a solicitor and senior investigator for an international organisation. He is also an accredited mediator specialising in commercial disputes.
He has undertaken many years of public service, notably as a Leicester City Councillor (4-year term), as a school governor, and as a charity trustee. Sundip served previously as a board member of the Leicestershire Police Authority, where he led efforts to save more than 200 policing jobs.
Sundip is proud of Britain’s values and traditions, and believes in the ideals and institutions of our democracy. Throughout his legal, regulatory, and political careers he has worked hard to uphold the rule of law and challenge corruption and misconduct, as well as scrutinise power, solve problems, and save jobs.
